Thursday March 29th Paul Shapiro hosts a trio at the fabled and fabulous Russ & Daughters Cafe on Orchard Street. Its part of the ‘last Thursday of the month’ series curated by John Zorn.  Its one set at 8:00pm.  This time featuring Brad Jones on bass and Tony Lewis on drums. OMG. Better come early...!

Saturday May 5th Paul Shapiro’s Ribs & Brisket Revue at the Cornelia Street CafeShows at 8:30 and 10:00pm.  We’re looking forward to playing a Saturday night there and we hope you join us.

Video of Ribs & Brisket in Krakow performing for thousands.


One of my favorite moments of the weeklong residence at The Stone was playing with Foreign Legion, the band I led throughout the 1980’s. Each player’s style had so many layers of development and growth, but our individual voices rang through just as they had when we were starting out.  Here we are in 1984 on Avenue A.  From the left,
